Our Direct Trade program lets you learn more about the farmers behind this exquisite coffee!
Joel and his wife own a 2-acre farm on the outskirts of Dondon Haiti, 75% of which is filled with coffee trees. In addition to his own farm, Joel also works at a local coffee tree nursery tending and managing the seedlings. The sale of this coffee allows him to manage 3 other people, and he's making plans to start his own nursery.
Francis was a physics professor in Port Au Prince. After finishing school in Miami, he went back to Haiti to use his resources and education to help others create a sustainable business for themselves. He's now the president of the co-op and runs their "Own a Tree" Program that donates coffee trees to help new coffee farmers get started.
Pierre owns a neighboring 2-acre farm, and he used to be unemployed before joining the co-op. Now, he's one of the hardest-working members in the group, and thanks to the Direct Trade program he makes enough to allow a stable and secure life for his family.
